O – Olivia - Senior (Sociology)

Major: Sociology, aiming to work in community organizing.

The more I learn about the world, the more I feel like something is broken. Inequality, injustice, poverty—it’s everywhere, and it feels like the world is falling apart. I want to be part of the solution, but I feel so small. I pray for guidance—“Lord, give me the tools to make a real change. Show me how to help people who are hurting.” Sometimes, I wonder if I’m doing enough. I wonder if all my studying, all my research, is actually going to make a difference. But I remind myself that every small act of kindness, every step toward justice, matters. I have to keep pushing, even if I don’t always see the results.
