The Apple of Possibility
Your future is shaped by how you see things, not by what others tell you.
Emalia had spent months staring at the screen of her glitching MacBook, her frustrations growing with each day. The machine had once been her trusted companion, helping her navigate both her career and her dreams. But now, it felt like a constant reminder of how little she had accomplished. A year full of unfulfilled ambitions weighed heavily on her, and she couldn’t shake the feeling that she had somehow missed her chance at success.
The Apple store, with its sleek walls and minimalist décor, was supposed to be a place of innovation. But as Emalia walked in, the cold, sterile environment felt like the last place she wanted to be. She approached the technician with a sense of desperation, hoping that a quick fix would help her start fresh—if only the glitching MacBook could be a metaphor for fixing her life.
But as she reached the counter, everything around her started to fade. The walls, the lights, the buzzing of the store—all became a blur. Her legs gave way beneath her, and before she knew it, the world went black.
When Emalia opened her eyes, the surroundings were no longer familiar. Gone were the clean lines of the Apple store, replaced by soft, natural lighting and a simple wooden table. She wasn’t in a tech store anymore. She was somewhere else—somewhere beyond the realm of reality.
Across from her, sitting calmly with a slight smile, was a man she had only seen in photos and documentaries.
"Steve Jobs?" Emalia asked, her voice thick with confusion.
He nodded, his eyes filled with understanding. "I know you’re struggling, Emalia. But remember—think differently. The path isn’t always clear, and the greatest ideas come from uncertainty.
Emalia blinked, trying to grasp what was happening. She had admired Steve Jobs for years, but this felt impossible. She had expected to find answers in a MacBook, not in a surreal encounter with one of the greatest innovators of all time.
His words echoed in the stillness of the room, reverberating through her mind. "Failure isn’t the end. It’s just part of the journey," he said, leaning slightly forward. "Don’t be afraid to fail. Just don’t give up."
Emalia felt a weight lift off her shoulders as the truth of his words sank in. She had spent too much of her life measuring herself against others, comparing her progress to a timeline that wasn’t hers to follow. Her failures had felt like walls, but maybe they were just stepping stones.
Her heart raced with realization. Think differently. The phrase kept repeating in her mind, like a key unlocking something deep within her.
Before she could ask any more questions, the room around her began to blur again. The soft light faded, and she felt a shift, as if the air had grown thicker. Her body felt light, as though she was being pulled back into the world she had left behind.
With a sudden jolt, Emalia found herself back in the Apple store, standing in front of the technician who was now holding out her MacBook. The laptop looked as good as new, its screen shining brightly.
She took it from him, a mix of relief and awe washing over her. But her mind wasn’t on the MacBook anymore. It was on the words Steve Jobs had left with her: think differently, failure is part of the journey, don’t give up.
Emalia walked out of the store, the cool air brushing against her skin, but she no longer felt weighed down by the world of expectations. Her future was hers to shape. The uncertainty that had once paralyzed her now felt like an open road, full of possibilities.
Her mind buzzed with ideas she had once pushed aside. She wasn’t going to wait for permission anymore. She was going to take risks, fail, learn, and keep moving forward. As she stepped out into the bustling streets, Emalia felt a spark of hope—a fire reignited within her that she hadn't felt in a long time.
Her journey was just beginning.
