J – James (Veteran, Struggling with PTSD)

I came home from war to find that my biggest battle wasn’t on the battlefield—it was in my own mind. The nightmares, the anger, the isolation. For so long, I tried to bury it all, but it kept coming back. One night, I couldn’t take it anymore, so I kneeled by my bed and prayed, 'Lord, heal me. Take this pain away.' I didn’t expect an instant fix, but I felt a peace I hadn’t known in years. I’m still in therapy, still fighting my demons, but now I know I’m not fighting alone. Prayer gives me the courage to keep going.
