G – Grace - Senior (Nursing)

Major: Nursing, determined to become a nurse practitioner.

Nursing has been my dream for as long as I can remember. But as I near graduation, I feel this weight in my chest. I’ve seen so much pain, so much suffering. Sometimes, I pray, “God, I want to help, but am I strong enough to carry all this pain?” I want to be a nurse practitioner, but I’m afraid of the responsibility. What if I make a mistake? What if I can’t handle the pressure? Every night, I lay awake, praying for courage, praying for peace. I know this is what I’m meant to do, but it doesn’t make it any easier.
