E – Emma - Freshman (Environmental Science)

Major: Environmental Science, passionate about climate change activism.

I came to college to change the world. I want to fight climate change, to make a real difference. But the more I learn about how bad things really are, the more hopeless I feel. Sometimes, I wake up in the middle of the night, praying that I’ll have the strength to carry on. I pray that my small voice can make a difference, that my actions will matter. I get scared that no one cares, that my passion isn’t enough. But every day, I try again, because the earth is worth fighting for. I believe that prayer, even though it doesn’t always give me answers, gives me the strength to keep fighting.
